FINANCE COMMITTEE

a.)            Resolution #R2007-68: County Budget for FY2008 to be Placed On File for Public View.  To place DeKalb County’s FY2008 Budget on File for Public Viewing in the County Clerk’s Office, on the County’s Internet site, and at two other geographically diverse public offices (The Sandwich City Hall and the office of the Genoa City Clerk), for public inspection.  Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Augsburger, seconded by Mr. Steimel, and it was carried unanimously to forward this resolution to the full board for approval.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

a.)            Ordinance #2007-15:  Amendment to the DeKalb County Code, Chapter 2, Article II, Division 2, Section 2-31, Rules of Order. Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Osborne, seconded by Mr. Rosemier, and it was carried to forward this ordinance to the full board for approval.  Mr. Steimel voted no.

b.)            Resolution #R2007-69:  Agreement For A Pre-Application To Participate in a Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.  To authorize the County to enter into a contract with Molly O’Toole and Associates, Ltd., to file a pre-application to participate in the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program and explore the possibility of a mitigation project for Evergreen Village utilizing to the extent possible State and Federal funds.  Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Osborne, seconded by Ms. LaVigne, and it was carried unanimously to forward this resolution to the full board for approval.

c.)            Resolution #R2007-70:  Severe Weather Policy.    To adopt a Severe Weather Policy to provide guidance to DeKalb County Employees and citizens during periods of extreme weather.  Committee Action:  Moved by Ms. LaVigne, seconded by Ms. Fauci, and it was carried unanimously to forward this resolution to the full board for approval.

d.)            Resolution #R2007-71:  In Support of a Conservation Initiative.   To have the County of DeKalb become more active in the promotion of resource conservation initially focusing on water, energy, preservation of farmland and recycling.  Committee Action:  Moved by Mr. Haines, seconded by Ms. Vary, and it was carried unanimously to forward this resolution to the full board for approval.
