CRIME STOPPERS “CRIME OF THE WEEK”

Crime Stoppers is seeking information on a Bank Robbery. The suspect entered the TCF Bank at 1320 Sycamore Road in DeKalb at 1:20 P.M. on October 12th, 2009.  The suspect told the tellers that he had a handgun and that he was robbing the bank. The suspect was given money and last seen running northbound from the area. The suspect is described as a male black, approximately 5’09” tall, wearing a dark jacket, hooded sweatshirt, and ball cap.

CRIME STOPPERS “CRIME OF THE WEEK”

FOR RELEASE THE WEEK OF November 9th, 2009

Crime Stoppers is seeking information on eight car burglaries in the Tradewinds Subdivision across form the Malta Golf Course on October 29, 2009. The thieves were targeting unlocked cars and electronic. Taken were a GPS, and two large PV speakers, one PV-PA amplifier, four “can” lights and controller, which were in a green Rubbermaid type container, the ones that a DJ would use. Value approximately $2,000.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information on a Residential Burglary. On November 5th, 2009 a Residential Burglary was reported on State Rt. 38 rural DeKalb east of Somonauk Rd. The Residential Burglary may have occurred on November 1st, 2009. Taken was cash and jewelry.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information regarding ongoing vandalism at Larson Park, which is located at the South end of Larson St. in the Maple Terrace Subdivision and North of Lake Sycamore on North Cross St. The vandalism consists mainly of graffiti placed at numerous locations in the park.
