Crime Stoppers is seeking information in connection to the following active investigations; Sometime between 04/03-04/04/18, a trailer holding two green Artic Cat snowmobiles was stolen from a driveway at an address in the 6700 block of Cherry Valley Rd., rural Kingston.

 

Crime Stoppers is also seeking information into a series of thefts that occurring in Hinckley. Between 03/23 – 04/03/18, numerous residents have reported items being removed from their front lawns. Items include; barn wood signs, galvanized pots, planters, wood bench, and a statue.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information into a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, 03/31/18 at an apartment in building #5, Suburban Apartments. Police responded to the apartment after receiving 9.1.1. calls regarding a shooting at a party. A female was shot as she left the apartment. She was taken to Northwestern Kishwaukee Hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police are looking for individuals who attended the party and may have seen a male with a firearm or who witnessed the shooting.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information into a series of car burglaries that occurred in Sycamore. On 03/07/18, the Sycamore Police Department took reports on seven vehicles that had been burglarized. The burglaries occurred in the southern part of the city including the Foxpointe and Woodgate neighborhoods, as well as two businesses located on DeKalb Ave. A number of personal items were stolen.

Crime On March 5th, the Sandwich Police Department received a report of two stolen GMC pick-up trucks, taken from Gjovik Chevrolet. The vehicles were seen the prior day and it is unknown how they were removed from the lot. The two vehicles are described as; 2018 black Sierra Denali 3500 Crew Cab and 2018 dark slate metallic Sierra Denali 3500 Crew Cab.

 

DeKalb County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of a snow blower, taken from a residence in 15000 block of Pine Rd., rural Somonauk. Taken was a commercial grade Toro 721 RC snow blower, taken sometime in the last month.
