Several promotions in senior management personnel
have occurred at the DeKalb County Health Department, according to Karen

service”
Jane Lux was recently promoted to Assistant
Administrator. Ms Lux has 25 years of public health at the Health
Department, serving as a staff nurse, Program Coordinator, Clinic
Supervisor, and for the previous ten years, as Director of the Personal
Health Services Division. Ms. Lux is an RN and has her Master’s Degree in
Public Health.
“I have dedicated my career to public health because
I have witnessed the great positive impact on health outcomes we can have
even with relatively modest resources. I am particularly committed to the
DeKalb County Health Department because of the ongoing support to public
health services by the DeKalb County Board of Health, as well as the
dedication of staff in providing services that promote good health for the
residents of the county,” says Lux.
Bette Chilton was recently promoted to Personal
Health Services Director. Ms Chilton has been a nurse and teacher for
24 years. She worked for a number of years at the Health Department
before leaving and becoming one of the founders of TriCounty Community
Health Clinic. She returned to the Health Department about eight years
ago. Since then, she has assumed the positions of WIC Coordinator and
Family Case Management/ WIC Coordinator. Ms Chilton is an RN and has her
Master’s degree in Maternal Child Health.
“I am grateful for
this opportunity to work with such a skilled and professional staff within
the Personal Health Services Division at DeKalb County Health Department.
The high quality of public health services provided to the residents of
DeKalb County by the nurses, nutritionists, social workers, case managers
and support staff at this agency, serves as an inspiration to me on a
daily basis. It's rewarding to see prevention work,” says Chilton.
Deb Rolf was promoted from Home Care Clinical Coordinator to Director of
Home Care. Deb has extensive experience in home care, having worked
in the field for 16 years. She has worked for the Health Department's
Home Care Program a total of 7 years in many different capacities. Ms.
Rolf is an RN and has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
“I am
honored to serve as the Director of DeKalb County Home Care. I have seen
many changes in health care over the past 25 years. Today, home care
provides many services in the home that were once only provided in a
hospital setting. Most people prefer to be at home and the services we
provide allow that to happen. I am privileged to work with a dedicated
staff that make a difference in the lives of patients and their families,”
says Rolf. |
