NOTICE TO THE TRAVELING PUBLIC

ROAD POSTINGS

The DeKalb County Engineer has announced that Shabbona Road will be closed at the railroad tracks beginning October 19th and remaining closed for one week for the replacement of the railroad crossing. This project is being constructed and supervised by the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railroad. The County Engineer has announced the closing of Shabbona Road, between Chicago Road and North Sleep Hollow Road to all through traffic, for the replacement of the bridge over the branch of Indian Creek. The road is scheduled to be closed August 10th through October 31, 2009. The contractor is Riber Construction Company from Dewight, Illinois and the cost of the replacement is $415,330.00.
