P.I.N.: 15-34-300-006:  Cenergy Power has submitted applications for two separate 2-megawatt Solar Gardens, to be known as PLCS, Frieders 1 and 2, to be located on a 75-acre property located on Somonauk Road, approximately 2,850 feet north of Chicago Road, in Squaw Grove Township: one will be a 9.45–acre facility in the southeast corner of the property, and the second will be 9.45–acre facility immediately west of the first facility. The property is zoned A-1, Agricultural District, and solar gardens are a Special Use in that district. Before Special Use Permits can be approved by the DeKalb County Board, a public hearing must be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer.

 

Cenergy Power is requesting approval of Special Use Permits for the proposed solar gardens on property located on the west side of Somonauk Road, Hinckley. A public hearing will be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 1:45 p.m. in the DeKalb County Administrative Center, Conference Room East, 110 E. Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL, 60178. Because this will be the only opportunity for public input on this application, all interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard. The Special Use Permit petitions, SQ-19-2 and SQ-19-3, are available for inspection at the DeKalb County Community Development Department, 110 E. Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL, (815) 895-7188.

P.I.N. 09-32-400-011:  The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office is proposing to establish an outdoor shooting range for their use on property located on Gurler Road, approximately 1,000 feet east of Somonauk Road, in Cortland Township. The property is zoned A-1, Agricultural District and shooting ranges are a Special Use Permit in that district. The proposed tower requires the approval of a Special Use Permit. Before a Special Use Permit can be approved by the DeKalb County Board, a public hearing must be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer.
