Jaime Mora, of Mora Farms, is proposing to modify the existing event venue Special Use Permit on the property located at 10816 Watson Road, Waterman in Victor Township. The Special Use Permit allowed for the use of three of the existing formerly agriculture buildings, as part of the event venue. Mr. Mora is seeking approval for convert an additional building for use as part of the event venue. The property is zoned A-1, Agricultural District and the event venue operates under a Special Use Permit. The proposed expansion requires the approval of an Amendment to the Special Use Permit. Before a Special Use Permit can be amended by the DeKalb County Board, a public hearing must be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer.

Jamie Mora is requesting approval of such an Amendment to a Special Use Permit for the proposed expansion of event venue at 10816 Watson Road, Waterman. A public hearing will be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer on Thursday, January 18, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the DeKalb County Administration Building, Conference Room East, south entrance, 110 E. Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL, 60178. Because this will be the only opportunity for public input on this application, all interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard. The Special Use Permit petition, V1-18-1, is available for inspection at the DeKalb County Community Development Department, 110 E. Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL, (815) 895-7188.

That part of the Northeast Fractional Quarter of Section 2, Township 37 North, Range 4 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Northeast 1/4; thence Easterly, along the North line thereof, 1,546.00 feet for a point of beginning; thence continuing Easterly, along said North line,

The application for the Special Use Permit has been filed in accordance with the requirements of Section 9.02 of the Zoning Ordinance in order to approve the expansion of a service use, in the form of an event venue, being conducted within and immediately adjacent to existing agricultural structures on property zoned A-1, Agricultural District.
