Summit Ridge Energy has submitted an application for a 15-acre, 2-megawatt Solar Garden to be located on property on the east side of Pearl Street, approximately 2,700 feet north of Wolf Road in Franklin Township. The property is zoned A-1, Agricultural District, and a solar garden is a Special Use in that district. Before a Special Use Permit can be approved by the DeKalb County Board, a public hearing must be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer.

 

Summit Ridge Energy is requesting approval of a Special Use Permit for the proposed solar garden on property located along Pearl Street, Kirkland. A public hearing will be held before the DeKalb County Hearing Officer on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 1:20 p.m. in the DeKalb County Administrative Center, Conference Room East, 110 E. Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL, 60178. Because this will be the only opportunity for public input on this application, all interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard. The Special Use Permit petition, FR-18-28, is available for inspection at the DeKalb County Community Development Department, 110 E. Sycamore Street, Sycamore, IL, (815) 895-7188.
