Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped with restoring forest, prairie and wetland habitat in DeKalb County!

Upcoming Summer / Fall Volunteer Opportunities:

 

Collect Prairie Seed and Plant Trees

On Saturdays--September 19th, October 3rd and October 10th from 9 a.m. till noon.

 

Volunteers are invited to help collect prairie seed and plant trees at Afton Forest Preserve. This native Illinois seed and oak trees will help restore future prairie and oak savannah habitat at Forest Preserve natural resource areas.

 

 Meet in the middle parking lot. Please bring a brown paper grocery bag or 2 if possible.

 

Afton Forest Preserve is located on Crego Rd., 1 and ½ miles south of Perry Rd. (13600 Crego Rd., DeKalb)
