Illinois State Fair

The fair is “family-friendly”, and throughout the 10-day fair (normally in
August), each day will spotlight a different focus, including: county fairs,
local officials, veterans, senior citizens, youth, park districts,
families/violence prevention, and agriculture. |

Sandwich Fair
September 3 - 7, 2008
This annual five-day event in the City of Sandwich starts on the Wednesday
immediately following Labor Day and runs through Sunday evening. The

NIU's Convocation Center - Calendar of Events
The Convocation Center is located on NIU's West Campus, north of Lincoln
Highway, south of the soccer fields and west of Huskie Stadium.

Hands Around the Courthouse
This annual May event invites people to join hands to show their
support of Child Abuse Prevention Month & Child Abuse Awareness Week.

Somonauk Summer Fest
Annual three day event takes place in the
Village of Somonauk the
last weekend in July. Sign-up for Volleyball, Horse Shoe and Bean Bag and
Texas' Hold'em tournaments . There are many events to enjoy
including an ISP Truck and Tractor Pull, Beer Garden and live music. Call

applications.

breakfast coordinated by the Northern Illinois Veterans Activities
