CHILD SUPPORT INFORMATION
The Illinois State Disbursement Unit (ILSDU) was created under the Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) in October 1999 in response to a federal requirement to have a centralized state operation to collect and disburse court-ordered child support payments.
The SDU processes payments for 102 counties. The Illinois State Disbursement Unit processes child support payments and issues disbursement checks to receiving families. Checks are sent out within two days of payment receipt. Most, but not all, child support payments must be sent to the statewide processing unit post office box in Carol Stream.

ADDRESS CHANGES
It is the responsibility of the Child Support recipient to notify the SDU of any change in your address. For more information visit the SDU website
If a Child Support recipient receives services through the Illinois Department of Healthcare & Family Services only they can change the address to which your Child Support check is sent. Please notify HFS of your new address if you receive services. Learn More Here
$36 ANNUAL SUPPORT SERVICE FEE
The $36.00 annual Support Service Fee, that is assessed by Illinois State law on all Child Support cases, must still be paid to the Circuit Clerk’s office.
Payment of your $36 annual Support Service Fee should be made with a separate check payable to CIRCUIT CLERK. The Circuit Clerk accepts personal checks, cashier’s checks, certified checks and money orders for Support Service Fee payments. Be sure to include your Case Number and Support Service Fee on the face of your check and mail to:

Due to the confidentiality of Child Support information, specific information regarding Child Support payments will only be given out in person at the Circuit Clerk’s office with proper identification.
You may review your payment history at any time on the SDU website, after setting up an account.
