Wedding / Civil Union Ceremonies

Wedding / Civil Union ceremonies are performed at the Courthouse for the benefit of the residents of the 23rd Judicial Circuit which includes the counties of DeKalb and Kendall.  Weddings are scheduled every Monday through Thursday at 1:00pm at the DeKalb County Courthouse, 133 W. State Street, Sycamore, Illinois.

The cost of these ceremonies is $10.00 which can be paid in the 2nd Floor Circuit Clerk’s office in Room 203 prior to the ceremony. Required check in time is 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the wedding ceremony.

Appointments are required. DeKalb and Kendall County residents can call to schedule a wedding ceremony by contacting the DeKalb County Court Administrator at 815-895-7160.

Marriage Licenses are required and can be obtained at the DeKalb County Clerk & Recorder’s Office located at 110 E. Sycamore Street, Sycamore, Illinois. Please call 815-895-7142. The Marriage Licenses must be obtained no later than 24 hours in advance.
