The DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board is excited to host two AWESOME events!

 

1) Youth Mental Health First Aid – Friday, March 29, 2019 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

We are pleased to announce the first Youth Mental Health First Aid Training on Friday, March 29, 2019. Read the Flyer

As a collaborative effort between Northwestern Medicine, the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board and the DeKalb Region of Education Professional Development Team, the free training is open to all and is designed to introduce participants to unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents.

Registration deadline is March 27. Advance registration is required by accessing the following link: https://dekalbroe.org/professional-development
Also, educator PDCs are available at no cost.

2) This Is My Brave DeKalb – Ticket Sales – Sunday, April 7, 2019 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Mental Health Board is extremely excited to be the premiere sponsor of this unique event. Twelve of our local friends will be sharing their stories of mental health and hope through personal narrative, poetry and music. This show is not to be missed.
