Crime Stoppers is seeking information into a burglary that occurred to an outbuilding located in the 8900 block of W. County Line Rd., rural Shabbona. Sometime during the night of 4/15/21, an outbuilding was burglarized and numerous tools were reportedly stolen.

Crime Stoppers and the Somonauk Police Department are seeking information into vandalism that occurred in the village of Somonauk. On Sunday, 11/22/20, sometime between 8:00 p.m. – midnight, an unknown individual(s) used a suspected paint ball gun to damage vehicles, homes, and garages throughout the village.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information into several recent burglaries to vehicles, two of which were stolen. The burglaries occurred in Genoa, Kingston, and Kirkland. During the evening hours of October 19th and into the early morning hours of October 20th, multiple unknown suspects went through unlocked vehicles in Genoa, Kirkland, and Kingston before continuing into McHenry County. The suspects used garage door openers from vehicles parked outside to gain entry into the attached garage to steal two vehicles and other property. It appears there are 4 suspects. They were driven around using a dark colored 4 door Volkswagen Jetta. An image of the one of the suspects from the stolen vehicle was captured. The male appears to have lighter blonde hair in the front, darker blonde in the back and an earring in his right ear.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information into recent vandalism to the Kirkland State Park. Recently, an unknown individual(s) vandalized buildings in the park by painting graffiti on various buildings. The attached photographs represent some of the damage sustained to the park.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information regarding a series of car burglaries that occurred in the Village of Kirkland, during the overnight hours of Tuesday, June 16th, into Wednesday morning, June 17th. In one of the car burglaries, a handgun was stolen, being a silver and black Taurus G2C 9mm semi-auto pistol. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in locating the handgun.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information regarding a barn fire at 1903 Brickville Road, Sycamore, that occurred on June 6th, at approximately 4:24 p.m. A white Jeep was seen in the area prior to the fire (see below). The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help to identify the vehicle and / or driver.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information into a theft that occurred at Lucky’s Tobacco on 03/30/20. That day, a black male entered the store with a plastic bag. This individual was able to obtain a number of boxes of cigars and cigarettes, running out of the store. The individual left in a van.

Crime Stoppers is seeking information into a series of car burglaries that occurred in Shabbona. Sometime during the overnight hours on 08/20-21/19, several car burglaries and two shed burglaries occurred in the 400 and 500 blocks of W. Cherokee Ave., Shabbona. Items were missing from the vehicles and sheds, including cash and tools.
