Scholarships

DeKalb County Sheriff Roger Scott, on behalf of the Sheriffs’ Association will be awarding two (2) scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each to DeKalb County Students. The winners will be selected by a Scholarship Committee made up of citizens and education professionals. There will be no restriction on any applicant by  reason of race, age, creed, color, sex or national origin. The only limitations are as follows:

  • Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents, and a permanent resident of DeKalb County
  • Scholarships must be utilized at institutions of higher learning within the State of Illinois
  • Students must be enrolled as a full-time student during the 2020-2021 school year (excluding summer session).

Applications are now available at your local Sheriffs Office, online at www.dekalbcounty.org or on the ISA Website www.ilsheriff.org. Students must complete the application; answer the essay question and return all documentation to the DeKalb County Sheriffs Office, 150 N. Main Street Sycamore, IL 60178 by the deadline of March 15, 2020 (must be postmarked by this date)

DeKalb County Government is working to reduce the spread of COVID-19. In an effort to limit exposure to the public and employees, many offices have limited access. We encourage the public to contact individual departments by phone in order to schedule appointments and obtain information on building and office closures.
