Scholarships

DeKalb County Sheriff Roger Scott, on behalf of the Sheriffs’ Association will be awarding two (2) scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each to DeKalb County Students. The winners will be selected by a Scholarship Committee made up of citizens and education professionals. There will be no restriction on any applicant by  reason of race, age, creed, color, sex or national origin. The only limitations are as follows:

  • Applicants must be permanent Illinois residents, and a permanent resident of DeKalb County
  • Scholarships must be utilized at institutions of higher learning within the State of Illinois
  • Students must be enrolled as a full-time student during the 2019-2020 school year (excluding summer session).

Application Forms are now available at your local Sheriffs Office, online at www.dekalbcounty.org or on the ISA Website www.ilsheriff.org.

Students must complete the application; answer the essay question and return all documentation by *March 15, 2019 to:

The names of all scholarship winners will be announced by May 1, 2019 and notified in writing by the ISA.
