The DeKalb County Treasurer’s Office has the responsibility to receive, invest, and distribute the revenue and public monies of the county.  The Treasurer as Collector is responsible for the dissemination of the consolidated Real Estate Tax and Mobile Home Local Services Tax Bills, as well as the collection and distribution of the Real Estate, Drainage, and Mobile Home taxes for DeKalb County.  The DeKalb County Treasurer’s Office is led by an Elected Treasurer and employs 3 full-time employees, 1 part-time employee, and operates on a budget of approximately $428,500.

The guidelines for making Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for the DeKalb County Treasurer’s Office are as follows:

• • FOIA requests may be made by email, mail, fax, or in person using the above contact information. Requests should be addressed to S Canova or Treasurer Springer, FOIA Officers.
  • Our office will not open any attachments to FOIA requests submitted via email. Please put the FOIA request in the body of the email.
  • When making your request, please include your name, the date of your request, a description with as much detail as possible of the requested information, the format you’d like the information back in (electronic [please include electronic format] or physical [the first 50 pages are free, pages 51+ are $.15 per page]), and a way for you to receive the requested information in the desired format. If this request is for Commercial Use, please also disclose that in your request.
