Director of Dietary Services

DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center is now hiring a Director of Dietary Services for our 190-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. This position supervises, coordinates, and oversees all aspects of the Dietary Department; providing dietetic services to residents while following County, State, and Federal regulations.

The ideal candidate must be a Certified Dietary Manager or be eligible to become a CDM. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with major in dietetics, food and nutrition, food service management, and/or related field, is preferred. Generally, must have 3-5 years’ experience in food service in a long-term care setting. Knowledge and experience in food purchasing, preparation, recipe development, menu planning for general and modified diets, nutritional assessments and clinical nutritional care and anthropometric measurements in determining nutritional status. Thorough knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws, and regulations pertaining to institutional food service safety and sanitation. Ability to attend professional meetings and conferences to keep informed of current practices and trends in the field of dietetics and nutrition in long-term care.
